YORK COUNTY, SC - On March 2, 2018, York County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Mike Dean completed the FBI-LEEDA (Law Enforcement Executive Development Association) Trilogy Program.

The FBI-LEEDA Trilogy consists of three advanced leadership courses supervisor, command, and executive.  Each course is one week long in length totaling more than one hundred hours of professional leadership development taught by senior law enforcement Chiefs and Sheriffs from around the country. Topics covered include generational leadership, paradigms and change objectives, power and influence, transactional and transformational leadership, and the history and direction of law enforcement. When an officer completes all three classes, they receive a Trilogy Award

To date, Sgt. Dean is the only member of the York County Sheriff’s Office to ever complete the Trilogy program.  Having done so, the YCSO will be spotlighted in the FBI-LEEDA “Insighter” magazine as having a supervisor successfully complete the program.

Sgt. Dean’s Trilogy award consists of a plaque, the Trilogy certificate, a professional uniform pin, and a commemorative challenge coin from the FBI.

FBI-LEEDA works to promote training, education, and networking among police professionals across the United States and beyond.
